Spider-Man:
Beyond the
Spider-Verse
Sony Pictures Animation currently lists the U.S. theatrical release for June 18, 2027. This independent guide separates what is publicly confirmed from leaks, fan trailers, and details that still have not been announced.

No public official trailer yet
Footage has been shown at industry events, and unauthorized material has circulated online. That is not the same thing as a trailer publicly released by Sony.
We did not find a public Beyond the Spider-Verse trailer on Sony’s official channels.
Search results currently include fan-made videos labeled “official” and leaked footage. We do not embed or link to leaked footage, and we do not relabel fan edits as studio material.
Before trusting a new trailer upload, verify that it comes from Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sony Pictures Animation, or another clearly authorized studio channel—and check whether Sony’s film page or verified social accounts acknowledge it.
- 01Public studio trailer: not found in the official channels reviewed.
- 02CinemaCon footage: real presentations have been reported, but event footage is not automatically a public trailer.
- 03Leaks: excluded from this site on copyright, accuracy, and editorial-integrity grounds.
- 04Fan trailers: can be creative, but are not evidence of the film’s official marketing campaign.
Where the story is headed
Sony’s current synopsis stays broad, so this section does too. We do not fill gaps with plot “leaks” or theory presented as fact.
Miles Morales is still trying to find his way home while Miguel O’Hara’s Spider Society is hunting him. Sony frames the film around Miles trying to reunite with—and protect—his family across time and space as the Spider-Verse saga reaches its conclusion.
The premise directly continues the unresolved conflict from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, but Sony has not published a detailed scene-by-scene plot for Beyond. Any much more specific “full plot” circulating before release should be treated as unconfirmed unless the studio publishes it.
Spoiler context from Across the Spider-Verse
Across ends with Miles stranded in a different dimension, meeting an alternate Miles Morales, while Gwen begins gathering allies. That cliffhanger is the clearest publicly released narrative bridge into the next film.
Who Sony currently credits
Sony’s present film page gives a robust creative-team list but not a complete voice-cast roster. We preserve that distinction instead of publishing an unsourced “full cast.”
Bob Persichetti
Co-director, credited by Sony Pictures Animation.
Justin K. Thompson
Co-director, credited by Sony Pictures Animation.
Phil Lord & Christopher Miller
Credited for the screenplay and among the producers.
David Callaham
Credited by Sony for the screenplay.
Amy Pascal
Producer listed on Sony’s current film page.
Avi Arad & Jinko Gotoh
Producers listed alongside Lord, Miller and Pascal.
Cast note: Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld’s Gwen Stacy, and Jharrel Jerome’s Miles G. Morales are discussed in current first-look/trade coverage, but Sony’s present film page does not yet display a complete cast list. This page will not pretend that an unofficial roster is a studio announcement.
The first look, from Sony itself
Rather than copying copyrighted stills into this project or generating imitation Spider-Verse artwork, the site embeds Sony Pictures Animation’s own verified post.
“A new look at Spider-Man: Beyond the #SpiderVerse.”
Sony Pictures Animation’s public post pairs a new look with the current June 18, 2027 theatrical date. It is the most defensible way for this independent site to show real, current first-look material without republishing an unlicensed file.
Why you may have seen different dates
The movie’s public schedule has moved more than once. That is why old articles, search snippets, fan posts, and even older studio social posts can show dates that are no longer current.
June 4, 2027 announced
Trade reporting covered Sony’s first public 2027 date alongside an early look.
Source: VarietyMoved to June 25, 2027
A later calendar update shifted the film three weeks deeper into June.
Source: VarietyMoved forward to June 18, 2027
Sony moved the date one week earlier from the June 25 slot.
Source: The Hollywood ReporterNew footage shown at CinemaCon
Industry reporting described a new scene/first look, but that presentation did not become a public studio trailer.
Source: The Hollywood ReporterJune 18, 2027 remains Sony’s current public date
The official Sony Pictures Animation film page and its latest first-look post reviewed for this site both point to June 18, 2027.
Source: Sony Pictures AnimationThe unresolved questions
These answers stay deliberately concrete. If the evidence only supports “not announced,” that is the answer.
Is Beyond the Spider-Verse delayed again?
Not according to Sony’s current film page reviewed on August 17, 2026. It lists June 18, 2027. Because the date has moved before, older June 4 or June 25 references should not be treated as current.
Is there an official trailer?
No public Sony trailer was found in the official channels reviewed for this build. Footage shown privately at CinemaCon and leaked footage online are separate things.
Is the leaked footage real?
Trade reports confirm that unauthorized footage has circulated, but this site does not authenticate, host, reproduce, or link to leaks. The useful distinction is whether Sony has released the material publicly.
When do tickets go on sale?
No ticket on-sale date is currently published on Sony’s film page. Any retailer countdown before an official sale window should be treated as provisional.
When will it stream?
No exact streaming date is announced. Distribution-window agreements can indicate likely partners later in a movie’s lifecycle, but they do not create a confirmed home-release date for this film today.
How long is the movie?
A final runtime is not currently listed by Sony. Runtime claims appearing before a formal listing should be treated as unconfirmed.
